The New Zealand basketballer Sean Mark is hoping his stint with the Portland Trail Blazers will turn into something longer.
Marks was without an NBA team when the season started last month.
Portland have a couple of injury concerns and so they went to Marks this week.
Marks has had 11 years in the League will backup Marcus Camby at centre.
The 35-year-old, who has played for a number of teams during his career, had been hoping for another year in the NBA.
