Inglis signs with South Sydney

South Sydney's secured one of the biggest signings in its 102-year history with Greg Inglis agreeing to a three-year with the National Rugby League club.

The 23-year-old Queenslander's ended a week of intense speculation by agreeing to join the Rabbitohs, who're banking on him helping to end their poor NRL record.

Souths have reached the finals just once in the past 20 years and haven't won a Premiership since 1971.

The signing is a coup for Souths, who managed to entice the former Melbourne Storm centre away from Brisbane, with the Broncos announcing in August that Inglis would play for them in 2011.

However, a dispute over legal fees between Inglis and the Storm meant the Kangaroos star had not officially signed a contract, allowing Souths to sign him.

Inglis will train with his new teammates for the first time on Monday.
