Hosts in control at Hyderabad

India are in charge of the second cricket Test at Hyderabad.

After New Zealand collapsed to be all out for 350 after lunch, India reached 178 for two at stumps on day two.

Resuming on 258 for four after Tim McIntosh's first day ton, the Black Caps added just 92 runs for the loss of six wickets then India's openers Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir put on 160 for the first wicket, Sehwag making 96 and Gambhir 54.

The hosts trail by 172 runs going into the third day, with Rahul Dravid at the crease on 7 and Sachin Tendulkar 11.
