Rain forces some blowouts on penultimate day in Melbourne

7:09 am on 14 November 2010

Steady rain in Melbourne caused some higher scores on the third round of the Australian Masters golf tournament.

Gareth Paddison's still the best placed New Zealander in Melbourne, but he's slipped to even par after a three over round to be tied for 18th, 11 shots behind the leader, the South Australian Adam Bland.

Bland's one under for the day for 11 under overall and leads compatriot Daniel Gaunt by three strokes.

Tiger Woods probably can't defend his title now after shooting even par 71 for one under, 10 off the pace.

Former champion Michael Campbell shot a one over 72 for a share of 26th.
