Big day ahead for NZ cricketers

10:02 am on 16 November 2010

India is the more confident of the 2 sides heading into the final day of the second cricket test against New Zealand in Hyderabad.

New Zealand will start the final day on 237 for 4, a lead of 115, thanks to an unbeaten 124 from opener Brendon McCullum, while Kane Williamson is on 12.

The Indian batsman VVS Laxman says they feel they have a good chance of winning.

He feels if they can get 2 early wickets they'll expose the New Zealand lower order and put them under pressure.

Laxman says they're confident they can chase any target less than 225 even if it means scoring at about five runs an over because of the kind of batting line-up they have and the condition of the wicket.

Meanwhile Tim McIntosh, who scored 49 and shared in New Zealand's first century opening partnership in 6 years, says they'll continue to play positively and if they have a good morning they can set a good target.

The roles have been reversed from the first test with New Zealand now needing to bat well into the last day to save the match,
