The Ireland lock Donnacha Ryan has been banned for three weeks and will miss the remainder of the November international rugby program after being found guilty of stamping against Samoa last weekend.

An independent disciplinary panel on Tuesday found Ryan, a 69th minute replacement for Devin Toner at Lansdowne Road in last Sunday's 20-10 win over Samoa, guilty of foul play after he'd been cited for stamping.

He is now set to be ruled out of Ireland's matches against New Zealand at Lansdowne Road this weekend and the fixture with Argentina the following week.
