The New Zealand golfer Mark Brown fell off the pace on the final day of the Hong Kong Open, dropping 10 places to finish in a tie for 16th and despite heading into a well deserved break the Wellingtonian wishes he could have the final round all over again.
Brown's one over par 71 was one of only two scores among the top-40 over par on the final day, but he still earned 43-thousand dollars for his efforts.
England's Ryder Cup star Ian Poulter won by one stroke with a 22-under par total while Brown was left to rue a disappointing performance in his final round of competition golf for 2010.
Brown hasn't qualified for the multi-million dollar, season-ending Dubai World championship this week, but with earnings of 450-thousand dollars, he's 102nd on the money list, and will almost certainly retain full playing rights on next year's European Tour.
