8:09 am on 24 November 2010

The New Zealand batting lineup submitted tamely to the Indian spinners on a turning pitch to give the hosts victory by an innings and 98 runs in the third test, and a 1-nil series win.

The Black Caps folded in Nagpur for only 175 in their second innings, and the top scorer was the young pace bowler Tim Southee who made 31 batting at number eight.

The Indian spinners took seven of the 10 wickets, zand one of them, Harbhajan Singh was named player of the series for his all round performances which included two centuries.

The five-match one-day international series between the two sides starts on Sunday in the north-eastern city of Guwahati.
