Chelsea through but Arsenal stumble

Chelsea is now the only team with a 100 percent record in this season's European Cup competition after beating Slovakia's MSK Zilina 2-1 in London.

Olympique Marseille's 3-0 win at Spartak Moscow assures the French side of second place in Group F behind Chelsea.

But Chelsea's London rivals Arsenal stumbled in Portugal, losing 2-0 at Braga when they needed only a draw to reach the knockout stages with a game in hand.

Instead the Gunners lost the Group H lead to Shakhtar Donetsk, 3-0 winners over the bottom team Partizan Belgrade.

Braga are level with Arsenal on nine points, but must beat Shakhtar by four goals away on the 8th of December or draw and hope Partizan take points off Arsenal in London.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice as Real Madrid won 4-0 at Ajax Amsterdam to secure top spot in Group G.

Real had already qualified for the last 16 and are now five points clear of AC Milan.

The Italian side's 2-0 win at Auxerre means the French club and Ajax have no chance of making the knockout stage.
