Ajax Amsterdam's Uruguay striker Luis Suarez has been banned for seven matches after biting PSV Eindhoven's Otman Bakkal on the shoulder in their nil-all draw in a Dutch football league match on Sunday.
Ajax said on their website (www.ajax.nl) that a seven-match domestic ban proposed by the Dutch league's disciplinary board had been accepted by their captain Suarez who had originally been suspended for two matches by the Amsterdam club.
