Breakers back in winning form

2:03 pm on 26 November 2010

The New Zealand Breakers have broken their two-game losing streak in the Australian National Basketball League with a comprehensive 100-79 victory over Gold Coast on the North Shore.

The Breakers found some much needed confidence and offense with Kirk Penney hitting a game high 24 points, while CJ Bruton and Gary Wilkinson scored 14 each.

After a club record low 57 points in their loss to Wollongong last week, the Breakers hit their highest score this year, eclipsing two 93-point efforts.

The Breakers have lifted their record to six and two and are second on the table while Gold Coast are two and five.
