Real to be investigated

2:03 pm on 26 November 2010

European football's governing body Uefa is to investigate Real Madrid over alleged improper conduct by coach Jose Mourinho and four players.

The charge against Mourinho, Xabi Alonso, Sergio Ramos, Iker Casillas and Jerzy Dudek relates to Wednesday's 4-0 Champions League win over Ajax.

Mourinho appeared to send in instructions just before Ramos and Alonso both picked up second yellow cards for time wasting.

That meant they would be banned for the final group game, rather than in the knock-out stage of the tournament.

The disciplinary hearing will take place next week.
