CD in great form heading into T20 championship

The domestic Twenty20 cricket champions Central Districts go into next week's HRV Cup in top form after sweeping their first three matches of the Plunket Shield competition.

The Stags beat Auckland by six wickets at Colin Maiden Park this morning.

CD started day four on 98 for one, needing just another 88 runs to win, and quickly wrapped things up, posting 189 for four as they romped home.

Wellington have drawn their match with Otago at the Basin Reserve. The hosts will take first innings points.

Canterbury beat Northern Districts by an innings and 114 runs in Whangarei.
