Auckland in strong form at Interprovincial golf champs

Defending champions Auckland have kept their unbeaten record at the women's Interprovincial Golf Championships in Wellington.

Their top player Cecilia Cho returned to action, after missing the first day after her arrival back from winning an event in China, to help them beat Aorangi South Canterbury 4-1... earlier they beat Hawkes Bay-Poverty Bay 3-2.

Bay of Plenty are also unbeaten in that group after wins over Southland and Hawkes Bay-Poverty Bay.

In the other group last year's runners-up North Harbour continued unbeaten along with 2008 winners Waikato.

Hosts Wellington are in third place in their section after they were held to a half with Southland.
