The National Rugby League's bringing its annual rookie camp to New Zealand for the first time this weekend.
Players from the Premiership-winning Junior Warriors will link up with counterparts from Melbourne, Manly, the Sydney Roosters and Cronulla on Auckland's North Shore in the final of three rookie camps.
Several former Warriors stars will join other ex-first graders and 80 players of the future, including NRL welfare and education officer Nigel Vagana, the former Kiwi international who fashioned a long first-grade career with the Warriors, the Bulldogs, Cronulla and South Sydney.
Vagana's joined by other ex-Warriors including Mark Tookey, Stacey Jones, Awen Guttenbeil and Ruben Wiki, while current Warriors Micheal Luck and Jerome Ropati will also contribute as speakers with New Zealand rugby league legend Tawera Nikau the guest speaker.
In all 240 players set to feature in the 2011 Toyota Cup will be taken through two days of training in media, cultural awareness, drugs and alcohol, social media, money matters, community work, social responsibility and personal presentation.
