Anger at Fury's tough schedule

3:26 pm on 5 December 2010

North Queensland coach Franz Straka has slammed the A-League's scheduling after the Fury's third football game in six days culminated in a 2-0 loss to the Newcastle Jets.

The Fury took on Perth Glory last Sunday, played Gold Coast United on Wednesday and then had to back up for Newcastle on Friday night.

Coach Straka is fuming about the short turnarounds his team have faced during a packed week, highlighting the short 48-hour timeframe as impossible.

Travelling time took a toll on his team and Straka believes that factor directly contributed to his team's loss to the Jets.
