McCullum set to don gloves once more

9:26 am on 4 December 2010

Otago's Brendon McCullum looks likely to return as wicketkeeper-batsman for the besieged New Zealand cricketers in their must-win third one-dayer against India in Baroda.

McCullum has been recovering from back spasms which he sustained during the recent test series on the subcontinent and with the Blackcaps trailing the hosts 2-nil in the best of five series, McCullum's availability is crucial.

A decision on whether he plays will be left as late as possible before the 4.30pm start time but captain Daniel Vettori is confident his star batsman will play.

If McCullum does play he's likely to open the batting at the expense of Jamie How.

The game gets underway at half past four.
