New Zealand football sides Waitakere United and Auckland City both missed good opportunities to take the outright lead in Group B of the O-League when they could only post 1-1 draws in their away clashes with Magenta and Tefana respectively.
A stunning goal by former All White Allan Pearce and an inspired performance from goalkeeper Danny Robinson weren't enough for Waitakere to pick up all three points against New Caledonia's Magenta while Auckland escaped from Tahiti with a point thanks to a last-gasp equaliser from Spanish defender Angel Berlanga.
