France captain Forget blasts Serbian fans

The French captain Guy Forget has lashed out at "imbeciles" amongst the raucous Belgrade crowd after his team slumped to a dramatic 3-2 defeat to Serbia in the Davis Cup tennis final.

Forget 's furious at fans who shouted and whistled to try to disrupt Michael Llodra as he served to Viktor Troicki in the deciding singles match, which the Serb won in straight sets to deliver Serbia's first Davis Cup crown.

Forget says he's not looking for excuses but says something has to be done about the problem or tennis will become like football where fans will do anything for their team to win.

France had led 2-1 overnight but lost both reverse singles, with Novak Djokovic seeing off Gael Monfils before Troicki defeated Llodra.
