Collingwood strips to celebrate Adelaide Ashes Test win

6:59 am on 8 December 2010

The rain came down at Adelaide Oval, the covers went on and Paul Collingwood's clothes came off.

Just two-and-a-half hours after England's crushing innings defeat of Australia, the heavens opened and England's players celebrated safe in the knowledge they have a nine-day break until the third Test starts in Perth.

However, Collingwood's work wasn't finished on the field, sprinting out to the covers in the middle of the ground clad only in underwear.

He then completed his performance by diving across one of the larger puddles in front of the members stand, before returning to the company of his delighted teammates.

England captain Andrew Strauss had said his team would take advantage of the early finish to savour their victory.
