A brief stint with Wellington has done fast bowler Jayde Herrick no harm, named to make his Australian first class cricket debut when Victoria play England in a three day tour match, starting in Melbourne tomorrow.

Herrick, made his first class debut last month in the Plunkett Shield for Wellington against Otago and is one of four debutants in the Victorian side.

England will be monitoring the performances of their pace bowlers with a view to replacing the injured Stuart Broad who's out of the Ashes series with a stomach muscle injury.
