Prior says England's learnt lesson complacency

The England wicketkeeper Matt Prior says they've learnt not to be complacent, despite having the upper hand in the Ashes cricket series.

England overwhelmed Australia to win by an innings in the second Test in Adelaide earlier this week to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series with three matches remaining.

Andrew Strauss' England side need only to draw the series to retain the Ashes, but Prior says the tourists learnt their lesson about celebrating too early after their setback in the fourth Ashes Test last year.

Australia fought back to level the series 1-all win a win at Headingley before England recovered to win at The Oval and reclaim the urn.

Prior says the tourists are looking no further ahead than their three-day game starting today against Victoria at the Melbourne Cricket ground.

The third Ashes Test starts in Perth next Thursday.
