The outgoing New Zealand Olympic Committee secretary general Barry Maister says they're looking for an appropriate occasion to award Nick Willis his new Olympic silver medal.
Willis had his Beijing 1500-metre bronze medal upgraded to silver after the winner Rashid Ramzi was stripped of his gold medal for failing a drugs test.
That happened in July last year and Willis has been waiting ever since.
US-based Willis is due back in New Zealand this summer and Maister says the awarding of the medal deserves a special ceremony, possible at a track meet in the New Year.
