Mancini and Tevez to meet as City striker seeks transfer

The Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini will meet with unsettled striker Carlos Tevez saying he hopes the Argentine will stay at the English football club despite requesting a transfer.

The City captain hasn't travelled with the side to play Juventus in the Europa League game tomorrow but has been training with the rest of the squad.

City have already qualified for the knockout phase of the Europa League and are third in the Premier League with Tevez instrumental in their progress this season.

Tevez said earlier this week that relationship with some of the executives at the club was beyond repair but reacted angrily to suggestions that he was angling for a more lucrative contract and suggested promises made to him by the club had not been honoured.
