The India batsman Sachin Tendulkar has achieved his 50th century in Test cricket, reaching 107 not out on the fourth day of the first Test against South Africa in Centurion.
No other batsman has made more than 39 Test centuries, but despite Tendulkar's milestone, India lost quickly on the final day.
