Skilled Park maintenance questioned by United

The doors are being thrown open by the Wellington Phoenix's next opponents North Queensland for the two sides' A-League football match.

The Fury's decided to follow in the footsteps of Gold Coast United, despite the fallout over United's abandoned match on the weekend.

More than 10-thousand home fans braved appalling weather to show their support on Sunday in the local derby against Central Coast, but the match was called off in the 20th minute due to a water-logged pitch.

United's billionaire owner Clive Palmer wasn't put off by the farce, even after questioning the condition of the Skilled Park surface, and he's again offering free entry for the Fury, who his Queensland Nickel also sponsors.
