The New Zealand tennis number one Michael Venus has been confirmed in the main draw for the New Zealand Open in Auckland next month, being awarded a wildcard entry for the tournament.
The 23-year-old Venus, has a current ranking of 328 in the world.
New Zealand's top women's player, Sacha Jones, has been given a wildcard for the ASB Classic next month.
Jones has been troubled by injury for much of the year and has a current world ranking of 253.
