The New Zealand Breakers' shooting guard Kirk Penney is the Australian National Basketball League's Player of the Week for the second week in a row.

Penney was a standout in the Breakers' round 10 road trip at the weekend when they beat the Hawks in Wollongong and the Tigers in Melbourne to take a clear lead at the top of the ladder.

The Tall Black averaged 23.5 points, shooting at 48.5 percent from the field, 50 per cent from the perimeter and just under 78 per cent from the free throw line.

In the top-of-the-table clash on Friday night in Wollongong , Penney scored 22 points as the Breakers ended the Hawks' 15-game home winning streak and 24 hours later he scored a game-high 25 points in Melbourne.
