Turner says there could be repeats of Bangladesh and India

The New Zealand Cricket selector and former Black Cap Glenn Turner says greater emphasis needs to be placed on the New Zealand A programme and coaching at lower levels otherwise the disastrous tours of India and Bangladesh will continue.

The new selection panel yesterday named their squads for Pakistan's upcoming tour, as they look to arrest the Blackcaps horror run of form following the recent one-day series whitewashes at the hands of India and Bangladesh.

Turner says New Zealand cricket must begin developing players from a younger age.

The Blackcaps first match against Pakistan is a 20/20 international in Auckland on Boxing Day.
