Pakistan coach says 170 needed for victory

5:26 pm on 28 December 2010

Wet weather is threatening to wash out the second 20/20 cricket match between the Blackcaps and Pakistan in Hamilton with the curtain-raiser between the New Zealand and Australian women's 20/20 sides abandoned due to rain.

The patchy rain is forecast to clear before the feature match at 7pm but it's still unclear at this stage whether the game will go ahead.

The Blackcaps lead the 3-match series after the morale boosting win in Auckland and will be looking to continue the successful start to new coach John Wright's tenure in charge.

However Pakistan will be equally as desperate to win to keep the series alive.

If the game does go ahead the Pakistan coach Intikhab Alam is confident his side has shaken off the rust after the first up loss at Eden Park, and says if they can score at least 150 at Seddon Park tonight, they should win the match.

Weather permitting the game is scheduled to get underway at 7pm.
