India maintain grip on top spot in Test rankings

India staged a great comeback from their innings defeat at Centurion to beat South Africa by 87 runs in the second cricket Test at Kingsmead.

Chasing 303 for a series-clinching victory, South Africa resumed the fourth day on 111 for three but four early wickets left the hosts in desperate trouble at 155 for seven with the Proteas all out for 215 shortly after.

The win in Durban consolidates India's position at the top of the world rankings and for their skipper MS Dhoni it's the culmination of two years of hard work.
