Australia's vice-captain Brad Haddin says he and his team-mates are fully behind Michael Clarke as he prepares to lead them in a Test for the first time in the Ashes finale which starts on Monday in Sydney.

There've been calls for Haddin to take over as Australia seeks a series-levelling win in at the SCG without their injured skipper Ricky Ponting.

But Haddin says his good mate Clarke is the best man for the job and will do it very well until Ponting regains full fitness.

He says they're bitterly disappointed not to have regained trhe Ashes after losing in Melbourne but with a bit of luck they can at least finish the series 2-2.
