Ashburton's Sandra Keith caused a stir on the first day of post section play in the women's singles at the National Bowls Championships in Dunedin.
The Allenton bowler defeated two Black Jacks, Dale Lang and the World Champion of Champions gold medallist Jan Khan, in memorable back to back victories on Friday.
The big upset wasn't matched in the men's event with national representative Ali Forsyth easing the disappointment of his elimination from the singles with two wins in the pairs.
Gary Lawson's also through the last 16.
Forsyth had to win his fourth and final singles game to progress to post-section play but lost 21-18 to 21-year-old Ray Martin.
