Hodgson refuses to budge

The Liverpool football manager Roy Hodgson has apologised to the club's fans after criticising them in an angry outburst following the midweek shock 1-0 English premiership defeat against struggling Wolves at Anfield.

Hodgson was furious after copping derisive feedback from sections of the Liverpool support who then called for Reds legend Kenny Dalglish to be installed as manager.

Liverpool are just three points above the relegation zone after their worst start to an English Premier League season but the former Fulham manager says he won't fall on his sword.
