Neither side has gained a psychological edge ahead of the first cricket test between New Zealand and Pakistan starting in Hamilton on Friday according to Balck Caps allrounder James Franklin.
The three day match in Whangarei between a New Zealand eleven, in reality a shadow test lineup and Pakistan ended in draw yesterday, with the home side 111 for four, when stumps were pulled, an overall lead of 208.
New Zealand made 384 in their first innings and Pakistan recovered from a woeful start, when they were 39 for four to be all out for 287.
Franklin says while neither can claim an advantage the match was certainly worthwhile as it gave batsmen and bowlers game time, with Brendon McCullum in particular making the most of his time at the crease in scoring a double century.
