The Wales halfback Richie Rees will miss the entire Six Nations championship after being banned for 12 weeks.
Rees, who plays for Cardiff Blues, was found guilty of eye gouging Northampton hooker Dylan Hartley in a Heineken Cup match last month.
The England lock Dave Atwood has also been banned for nine weeks after being cited for stamping on La Rochelle prop Petrisor Toderasc last month while playing for Gloucester.
