Fifteen fans were arrested for public orders offences during Manchester United's 1-0 win over Liverpool in their third round FA Cup at Old Trafford.

A heavy police presence surrounded the game between two of English football's biggest rivals, where emotions were running even higher than usual as Liverpool fans celebrated the return to management of their favourite Kenny Dalglish.

The 15 arrests have been for a variety of public order and criminal damage offences.

Elsewhere Cup holders Chelsea thumped Ipswich Town 7-0 and will next visit Everton, while Tottenham Hotspur beat League One (third division) Charlton Athletic 3-0 to set up a fourth-round London derby with Fulham.

United have set up a fourth-round away game with League Two (third division) Southampton.
