Taylor claims IPL big bucks didn't distract Black Caps

New Zealand cricket vice-captain Ross Taylor denies the lucrative Indian Premier League auction had anything to do with the poor showing in the first Test loss to Pakistan.

Taylor went for more than one point three million dollars to the Rajashthan Royals, one of seven Black Caps sold as the side were humiliated on Sunday in Hamilton - but he says the team was completely focused and it was simply poor batting selections under pressure.

Taylor maintains the Black Caps can turn it around in the second Test, which begins in Wellington on Saturday.
