Ferrer focused on semi

The world number seven David Ferrer isn't thinking about repeating his 2007 triumph at the Heineken tennis Open just yet.

The Spanish top seed became the first player into the semi-finals in Auckland today after he beat the German Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-3 7-6 6-3, but Ferrer is concentrating solely on his next opponent, Colombian ATP Tour debutant Santiago Giraldo.

The two have never faced each other. David Nalbandian's playing Nicolas Almagro in the other semi-final first up on centre court.
