Liverpool made it two defeats in two matches under new manager Kenny Dalglish as Blackpool came from behind to complete a 2-1 home win in English football's Premier League.
Blackpool leapfrog Liverpool and Merseyside rivals Everton among others into ninth, while Liverpool slip one place to 13th, four points above the relegation zone.
Fernando Torres scored first but promoted Blackpool, who also won 2-1 at Anfield in October, equalised nine minutes later and took the lead in the 69th minute.
Dalglish's latest spell as Liverpool manager following the sacking of former boss Roy Hodgson started with a 1-0 FA Cup defeat by bitter rivals Manchester United last weekend.
