Socceroos to wear flood appeal shirts

12:10 pm on 14 January 2011

The Australian footballers will wear special shirts during their warm-up for tomorrow morning's Asian Cup clash with South Korea in Qatar to raise awareness around the world about the appeal for victims of the Queensland floods.

Australian captain Lucas Neill says there'll also be a moment of silence and the players will wear black armbands.

The Socceroos' warm-up shirts will read 'Australia Flood Relief Appeal - Donate now' in Queensland's traditional Maroon colours and sport a link to the appeal website.
