All ahead for Vettori now

5:36 am on 17 January 2011

A 6th test century under his belt, the New Zealand crciket captain Daniel Vettori now wants wickets on day three of the second test against Pakistan at the Basin Reserve.

Pakistan will resume on 134 for 2 in reply to New Zealand's first innings of 356.

Vettori picked up the wicket of Taufeeq Umar with the last delivery of the day with the pitch starting to show some turn.

Vettori says that wicket made the day a little easier, but they've got a big first session ahead of them today.

He says the session is probably going to set up the game if they've got a chance of winning it.

Vettori says there were a couple of deliveries that turned and there are some footmarks developing ... so if he can bowl well he can hopefully play a big role in the game.
