The Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre filed his retirement papers with the NFL after a 20-season American football career.
The 41-year-old Favre, one of the game's most decorated players who also retired in 2008 and 2009, sat out the final game of the regular season with a concussion and had said it would be his last.
