The second cricket Test in Wellington has ended in a draw with Pakistan finishing on 226 for five at the Basin Reserve after New Zealand set a target of 274.
The Black Caps looked as if they had a chance of levelling the series when they broke through early with Tim Southee getting the first wicket and Chris Martin the next two.
But Pakistan recovered from 42 for three before lunch, thanks to a century stand between Younis Khan, who made 81, and Misbah ul-Haq who was unbeaten on 60.
Although Pakistan's spinners extracted some sharp turn on the fourth day New Zealand's captain Dan Vettori couldn't apply the same pressure today with his leftarm spin bowling and by late afternoon another win to the tourists or a draw were the only options.
