New Zealand cyclist Julian Dean's team-mate Cameron Meyer has won the Tour Down Under in the equal closest finish in the race's 13-year history.
The 23-year old Australian rider Meyer beat fellow local Matt Goss - team-mate of another New Zealand rider, Hayden Roulston - by just two seconds after the last stage through the streets of Adelaide.
In a major milestone in his young cycling career, Meyer held off pressure from Michael Matthews and Goss while Britain's Ben Swift won the 90-kilometre stage ahead of his New Zealand team-mate Greg Henderson to finish third overall, eight seconds down.
Lance Armstrong's final professional ride outside the United States didn't go to plan, the American finishing outside the top 50.
