The Blackburn Rovers footballers have climbed from 12th to seventh in the English Premier League on the back of a comfortable 2-0 home win over West Bromwich Albion.
A bizarre headed own goal by Gabriel Tamas just before half-time and a scorching drive by David Hoilett soon after were fair reward for their dominance, though West Brom were furious when a trip on Peter Odemwingie was given as a free kick instead of a penalty midway through the second half.
Blackburn have 31 points with West Brom, who have lost six of their last seven games, 15th on 25 - three points above the relegation zone.
Ryan Nelsen, who extended his contract with Blackburn on Sunday, didn't play because of a knee injury.
Champions Chelsea, in fourth place and 10 points behind leaders Manchester United, are in action on Tuesday away to Bolton Wanderers.
