The top of the table New Zealand Breakers have dominated the Australian National Basketball League's Players' Choice awards, with several players topping various categories after being voted the best by their rivals and peers.

Earlier this season the League office conducted its players' opinion poll to get the athletes' perspective on a variety of questions in categories such as 'Best Shooter', 'Best Venue and 'Biggest Trash Talker'.

In all over 70 athletes responded to the poll, which was open to all ANBL players who had at least one year's experience in the Championship.

It's easy to see why the league-leading New Zealand Breakers have been packing them in, playing before sold-out home crowds and leading the league in away attendance, as three Breakers finished first, second and third in the category of "Which current NBL player would you Pay to See?"

The Breakers' star shooting guard Kirk Penney took out the category with 29% of the vote, while team-mates Thomas Abercrombie (21%) and CJ Bruton (12%) finished second and third respectively.

Abercrombie also took out the titles of the NBL's "Best Dunker" and "Best Athlete", while Penney was tabbed as the "Best Shooter" and "Toughest to Guard on the Perimeter".

Bruton was also named as the Player who "Talks the Most Trash".

Fellow breakers Kevin Braswell and Mika Vukona took out the titles of "Best Passer" and "Best Rebounder" respectively.
