Germany's main public television stations will end live broadcasts of the Tour de France next year as viewers continue to shy away from the event because of doping scandals.
The two networks have decided not to renew their contract with the European Broadcasting Union to screen the event live, and will limit their coverage to highlights only, from 2012.
