McCullum likely to move up the order

9:32 am on 3 February 2011

Brendan McCullum is unlikely to find any stability in the New Zealand batting lineup as the captain, coach and selectors continue to try and get the best out of him.

McCullum has batted down the order in recent matches, but could go as high as number three for tonight's fifth one-dayer against Pakistan in Hamilton.

Captain Dan Vettori remains in doubt with a hamstring injury, however coach John Wright is more confident of Jesse Ryder, who has a finger injury, padding up.

There is likely to be a reshuffle in the batting linup with Wright suggesting Ross Taylor, who hasn't scored a lot in the series so far, will drop to four and McCullum could move up.

Pakistan lead the series 2-1.
