Just one newcomer for NZ sevens team

The New Zealand sevens coach Gordon Tietjens will field just one debutant in this weekend's round of the IRB series in Wellington.

Counties Manukau's David Raikuna is the only newcomer to his squad, while 5 others, including Declan O'Donnell of Waikato who was cleared of an ankle injury this week, will be playing just their third tournaments.

Defending champions Fiji have name five newcomers, while series champions Samoa are the most experienced of the teams with a combined 'caps' total of 274 tournaments played.

Play starts at 1 oclock with New Zealand playing Scotland, Papua New Guinea and Argentina today.
